RIP Kindle Fire

My Kindle Fire 7 HD bit the dust after many years of dutiful service in the kitchen, in my studio editing, and in my reading chair. I attempted to purchase the same exact Kindle but Amazon phased them out to support the HD 8 and created the 7 Generation Fires. The first one Amazon sent to me was defective; screen kept dying during software upgrade. If I take it out of the box and it needs an upgrade and the screen is full lines and dying–we have a problem.

Amazon customer service was awesome and I got a new, new Kindle coming on Monday.

Counting down to November when my annual pay comes for this production project. It’ll be enough to pay off the debt we accrued moving back to PA, and pay off the Moog’s student loans for their first year. That’s why I took this job.

Femitokon is moving right along though I still have the same amount of patrons (most are paypal subscribers) I had since January. I’ve not invested any monies in advertising it and my half-ass robo-posts over at twitter aren’t doing anything. If no one’s reading it’s likely because they don’t know it exists. 0_0 I made the decision to release Suffocation as a collected eBook and perhaps this will get the series some patronage. My intent was to sell some short stories and bring attention to the series but my time to write is severely sapped by real-life happenings. After typing in front of a screen all day I just want to relax on tumblr and take some pictures before getting in some edits on the series.

I’ll find my motivation somewhere…
